CHAPTER 2 – THE BRIDE OF THE INVISIBLE GROOM

CHAPTER 2 – THE BRIDE OF THE INVISIBLE GROOM

The wedding happened only four days later.

Everything felt unreal.

Luxury cars.

Bodyguards.

Crystal chandeliers.

Guests wearing designer clothes.

Yet there was one thing missing.

The groom.

Everyone remained perfectly calm.

Until exactly noon.

A wheelchair slowly entered the hall.

An elderly man with silver hair.

Deep wrinkles.

An oxygen tube beneath his nose.

This...

was Mr. David.

The entire hall fell silent.

Agatha forced herself to smile.

She repeated her vows with tears filling her eyes.

When the ceremony ended...

Mr. David leaned close.

His voice was surprisingly gentle.

"I'm sorry."

She frowned.

"For what?"

"For making you hate me."

That night...

Agatha entered the enormous mansion.

She expected an old man too weak to even stand.

Instead...

the bedroom was empty.

No husband.

No wheelchair.

Nothing.

Then she heard footsteps upstairs.

Heavy.

Strong.

Not the steps of an old man.

She slowly followed the sound.

The attic door creaked open.

Inside...

stood a tall young man in his early thirties.

Perfectly healthy.

Perfectly handsome.

He looked directly at her.

Then smiled.

"I'm sorry..."

"...Grandfather couldn't attend our wedding night."

Agatha froze.

"What did you just call him?"

The young man extended his hand.

"My name is Ethan."

May you like

"I'm the man you're actually supposed to live with."
