The doors shook.

Not opening.

Approaching.

From outside.

A coded knock.

Then recognition.

The system responded:

“ACCESS GRANTED.”

Gasps filled the room.

The heir turned pale.

“You called someone…”

I corrected him.

“No.”

“I reminded them.”

The doors opened.

A unit entered.

But they didn’t look at the guests.

They looked at me.

“Status confirmed.”

And suddenly…

the truth shifted.
