Elena Walker had barely stepped out of the hotel with her four-year-old son, Luca, when a convoy of black SUVs blocked the parking lot.
Men in black suits climbed out one by one.
Instinct took over.
Elena pulled Luca behind her and held him close.
For four years, she had been running.
She had changed cities.
Changed her last name.
Built a quiet life from fear and silence.
Every morning, she woke up wondering if this would be the day her past finally found her.
Today, it had.
But something wasn't right.
The armed men weren't looking at her.
They were staring at Luca.
Then, one after another...
Every single guard lowered his head.
Luca peeked around his mother's coat, confused.
"Mom... why are they bowing to me?"
Before Elena could answer, the final SUV door opened.
A tall man stepped out.
The entire parking lot fell silent.
Adrian Romano.
The most feared man in the city.
His cold eyes landed on the little boy...
